SPHS Area Agency on Aging, Inc.

The third largest AAA in the state of Pennsylvania. Promotes older adults' well being through a planned, coordinated and collaborative program of health and social services. SPHS Behavioral Health

Programs targeting substance abuse and mental health. Our professional staff has provided quality intervention and treatment for nearly three decades.

 

SPHS C.A.R.E. Center

Helps individuals and families facing problems associated with chemical dependency, mental health and sexual assault. Offices are in Washington and Waynesburg.

 

 

SPHS Child Care

The area's largest and oldest childcare provider. Two locations offer flexible hours, educational activities, preschool and extended programs for children from birth through school ages.

 

      

SPHS Connect

Emergency shelters, transitional and permanent housing, assistance and training programs for one- and two-parent families in Washington and Westmoreland Counties without homes.

 

SPHS Family Services

Centers in Washington and Monessen offer programs for special educational needs during and after school hours. Licensed, certified teachers educate at-risk children, ages 2 and up. Families have access to support groups and in-home services.

 

SPHS GED / Remedial Education Program

A GED program helping you advance in your career and your life.

 

SPHS Medical Services

Three entities include: 1) A primary care office for family medicine, pediatric medicine, general practice and 
endocrinology.  2) A family planning center offers reproductive health services for men and women. 
3) A full-service pharmacy onsite at the Mon Valley Community Health Center in Monessen.

 

SPHS Mental Retardation Services

Life skills training and independent living facilities for adults with mental retardation. Early intervention 
targeting your child's development is also available in the home.

 

SPHS Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program

A nutritional food and supplement program for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and 
children through age 5. The state-designed Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provider for 
Westmoreland County.
