Nearly forty years ago, a group of local citizens joined together to develop an organized, collaborative system for the delivery of human services. After many transitions, a multi-corporate system consisting of Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services, Inc. (SPHS) and seven affiliate corporations evolved. SPHS and its affiliates conduct strategic planning, develop programs and provide human services throughout the four county, southwestern Pennsylvania region.
Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services, Inc. and its affiliate corporations, with over 50 service locations throughout southwestern Pennsylvania, employ more than 700 clinical professionals/support personnel and serve 50,000 people annually, including 14,000 Mon Valley residents.
